Our engagement was the highlight of an unforgettable journey through France, Italy, and Switzerland. While visiting Lake Como, Italy, Jordan surprised Ty with a private wooden boat that departed from Villa del Balbianello. He had also arranged a private photo session as they cruised across the lake.
As lifelong Star Wars fans, there was no place more meaningful to propose than on the waters of Lake Como, with Villa del Balbianello and the surrounding mountains as the backdrop. It felt as though we were sailing through Naboo—the breathtaking world from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. With the very villa where Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala were married behind them, Jordan asked Ty to marry him, and Ty said yes.
It was a truly magical and romantic moment in one of the most beautiful places in the world—a memory they will cherish forever.
The Trip
In May 2026, we embarked on the trip of a lifetime through France, Italy, and Switzerland. Our journey took us from the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Notre-Dame in Paris to the Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Trevi Fountain in Rome. We wandered through the Renaissance streets of Florence, admired the Duomo in Milan, cruised the breathtaking waters of Lake Como, and stood in awe of the Matterhorn in Zermatt before ending our adventure in Zurich. Along the way, we experienced incredible food, world-renowned art and architecture, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable memories. While every destination held a special place in our hearts, Lake Como became the most meaningful of all—it was where our next chapter together began.
